Character Class: Mystic Knight – Bardic Knight
Character Skills/Spells: I have seven skills because I am level 3.
The spells appropriate of a Mystic Knight – A Mystic Knight has the unique ability to endow his weapons with the three natural elements of nature: Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder. With intense training, Mystic Knights will also gain the ability to endow his weapon with other attributes, such as poison, silence, and even sleep.
[li] .FIRE SWORD. Mystic Knights have the ability to enhance weapon damage with the power of the elements. Using mastery of the three basic elemental spells, Mystic Knights can enchant any type of weapon to add an extra boost of elemental power. Eventually, Mystic Knights may learn to enchant their weapons with the Water and Aero elements, but most start with one of the simple first three. The ‘Sword’ in the names of the Mystic Knight’s skills is misleading; sword merely means a weapon in this case, as Mystic Knights can wield any weapon they wish. Fire Sword is one of the three basic spells learnt by Mystic Knights. It is the “training skill” if you will that Ufriete is closest to perfecting.
[/li][li].PASSION SWORD. A seductive spell that enhances Ufriete’s sword with a pink light, Passion Sword is an unusual spell indeed. As a follow-up theme of Ufriete’s passionate personality, Passion Sword relates his charming, sometimes even seductive side with combat. The spell has the ability to charm others around him, both male and female, with an addicting aroma that wafts off the sword. If the foe cannot smell or is impervious to such addictive aromas, such as one wearing a gas mask or is impervious to such scent effects, Ufriete need only tap the person with the blade of his sword to cause a temporary charm. This charm, for three posts, makes the foe temporarily in love with Ufriete, allowing for some control. Those with a strong will can snap themselves out of this charm if the player wishes.
.BARDIC KNIGHT.
The Bardic Knight, a musical variation of the Mystic Knight, has a similar ability that branches off to more unusual elements of nature, such as darkness, light, etc. All spells require singing or other musical talent, such as whistling or humming, the later being a critical talent of all Hummingway. The effects of all spells depend on the amount of passion and emotion Ufriete emodies in his songs. Most of Ufriete’s Bardic Knight spells depend on empathy, or his mood.
[/li][li] .GLOOMY NOCTURNE. A sad nocturne, a musical form associated with the night, that when sung by Ufriete has the abilities to endow his weapon or a party member’s with a shroud of biting darkness. This darkness appears a black veil over the blade of Ufriete’s sword, with a trail of smoke that dissipates in the air as it is swung. This spell only requires a single stanza to be used and does not require continuous singing.
[/li][li] .UPLIFTING RHAPSODY. An bouncy, bubbly, fast-tempo piece easiest to perform while in a cheery mood, a mood Ufriete constantly retains because of his in-bred positivism; merriment is a natural gift of the Hummingway, able to plow through any tragedy or hardship that may disrupt their lives. This song is best used while in a cheery mood, enhanced by the optimism of the singer. Uplifting Rhapsody encases the caster’s weapon with a veil of bright wispy light that animatedly sways away from the center of the blade, as if because of a constant invisible breeze (the aura of happiness). This song, in similarity to Gloomy Nocturne, requires only a single stanza to be used and does not require continuous singing.

Character Weapons:
.BLADE OF THE BARD.
A sword crafted specifically for Ufriete by the town blacksmith, Smithingway, Blade of the Bard is but a title and has no added effects, except that the metal used is very reactive and allows for enchantment via a Mystic Knight (Ufriete himself). The blade of the sword is about three-feet long, an average height for a sword, and the hilt is about a foot or so, making this sword completely wieldy for a Hummingway like Ufriete. The blade is a generic silver color with various ridges welded in for style on the flats of the blade, and the hilt is an earthy brown and ringed for a better grip.
Character Appearance:
Swordingway Ufriete is very stereotypical of a regular Hummingway, attired with turban and blue glasses as all are. Ufriete’s turban is a cream color with bands of red-spike patterns. [Diagonally up, diagonally down, etc.] His glasses are simple, light blue sunglasses that rest right at the tight of his nose, bright blue eyes poking out from above them to view his surroundings with two types of light. The bright blue eyes hiding behind glasses of the same color are so large and vibrant that the rim of the lenses often obstructs his view anyway. On his torso, Ufriete wears a bright red hooded-jacket over a blue long sleeve shirt. The sleeves protrude from the sleeves jacket. For bottoms, Ufriete wears simple straw-colored trousers and brown loafers.
Character Personality:
A curious little critter, as most Hummingways appear to be by first impression, Ufriete is no different from the rest of his kin when it comes to his peculiarity. Only speaking when first talked to, Ufriete remains quiet much more than half the time and thus does a lot of inside thinking; much more thinking than an average person should. As a result of his constant thinking, Ufriete can be scatterbrained, though has pondered so many puzzling questions for so long that he has answered many with perfectly plausible answers. Yet, as his nature demands, Ufriete normally would not tell anyone unless asked first, and who is seriously going to ask someone “Have you figured out the most puzzling questions in the world yet?” Really… However, once engaged in an exhilarating debate or discussion about a certain fact, figure, or philosophy, Ufriete becomes a talk-monster and will spread out his views in a well-organized fashion, pointing out every little detail. Often times, this talkative side of Ufriete comes as an unpleasant surprise, as most prefer his quiet, introverted persona. And the way in which he says things may sound strange to anyone but a fellow Hummingway because he has only just mastered the skill of speaking, let alone the entire English language. Ufriete could be described as extremely bright but too involved with his own thoughts and personal conversations to deal with showing his brightness. Though in no way could he come across as stupid, speaking or not speaking. Anyone could get the message of his intelligence by his straight posture, bright eyes taking in all the sights around him, and his simple yet fashionable clothing choice.
Character History:
Growing up on the soft soil of the Earth, Ufriete was never one for running errands outside of his town or leaving the town in general; the outside world was often shunned by the Elderingways, but Ufriete always wondered what was really outside of his little Hummingway Town. While his mother was impregnated with him, his entire family moved down from The Moon to the Earth to get with the spirit of colonization. In total, this was the only Hummingway village known of on Earth, and Ufriete’s family brimmed with excitement on the way down, knowing that they would be remembered from generations as the first Moonlings to step foot on Earth. [In truth, they were never remembered; their village was burned down far after Ufriete’s departure for the reverse copyright of the Earth’s accomplishment of landing on The Moon. Get it? BAH DUM CHHHH!] As the colony of Hummingways progressed with their life, as did the new Earth-Hummingway customs. One rule that was created for fear of danger was: NEVER LEAVE THE VILLAGE UNLESS ON OFFICAL DUTY. The only Hummingways that had the ability to leave the village were the messengers who deliver messages to nearby colonies reporting food stock and other stocks that the colonies all needed to keep track of.
Ufriete grew up in this bubble-of-a-town constantly wondering what was outside, constantly dreaming of adventuring outside of the town, even if it was just at the forest edge near the town that was viewable from his rooftop. So, after many declined requests of leave, Ufriete took it upon himself to rebel and simply leave his town and his family. It was either a cooped-up strict village and family combo or the freedom of no rules and wide, stretching land ready for exploration. At the age of 14, Ufriete ran away in the secrecy of the night, taking only three outfits, each the same as the last [heroes’ clothes don’t change!], his weapon of choice created by Smithingway, the town blacksmith, and all the knowledge he had learned of being a Mystic Knight from Smithingway. Sample RP:
The moon shone brightly from the corner of the encroaching blackened clouds, darkened by the shadow of the night. A plain of shadows lie before Ufriete, the town he had lived in for a total of fourteen years, his entire lifetime, behind him. Leaving it all behind for the sake of freedom seemed like a cliché hero thing, but for Ufriete, it was simply act of obsession for discovery and knowledge. At the school in his village, they never taught anything of the outside world. The only reason they built a village on Earth in the first place was to be able to say that the Hummingways lived on both The Moon and Earth. Really. But “fraternizing with the outsiders”, as the Elderingways always said, would “taint the mind” and “corrupt the pure soul of the Hummingway” Ufriete did not believe a bit of it. How could simply being around someone different from him change his soul? Some of the things the Elderingways said were quite redundant; they all led back to the same basic principle that the outside and those that inhabited it were dangerous. Now, Ufriete had not met an outsider yet, but planned to meet one very soon.
And then, just as he entered the edge of the forest near his village, he heard a huge explosion. The forest edge illuminated with a bright light, coming from a source behind him. Spinning around to see what had happened, such as the Elderingways going to great lengths to get him back to the village, Ufriete saw that his home and a few of the other villagers’ homes were alight with the blazes of magic fire; and not just any magic fire; dragon fire. Off in the distance, a ways past the village, Ufriete saw the towering figure of a giant, obsidian dragon, glinting in the moonlight and the fiery blazes, its freakish glossy scales giving the dragon a fearful sense of praise, as if you needed to kneel before it to feel worthy of its mercy. Ufriete did not wait to see the outcome of this, but ran off into the woods frightened for his life, hoping the dragon could not smell his scent as he ran.
